CCYSA Summer Recreational Youth Soccer Program
We are finalizing teams, ordered t-shirts, working on the game schedules and more! Practices can begin after the Saturday, June 29, 2019 Coaches Meeting at 9am at Starr Rd. Rosters and equipment will be distributed at that time.
You will be receiving an email invitation to log in to Team Connect. This will allow you to see the names of your team's coach, players and other parents. You will also see the games being scheduled.
You will be contacted by your summer coach around the first week of July.
If you have not been contacted by July 7, please notify us at Info@CCYSAsoccer.org.
Monday, July 22 is Opening Day (first day of games) of the 2019 Summer Recreational Season
Pictures - We will not be offering pictures this summer.
We need a lot of volunteers to implement improvements in planning and organization of our growing program. Please contact Dave Bordwell at SummerPrograms@CCYSAsoccer.org if you are interested in helping in any way. We also have regular summer league planning meetings – please join us!

CCYSA Weather Policy:
In the event of forecasted storms, teams should still go to the field. It could be storming at your house, but not at the field. A storm in one area may not effect games at another field. Teams should make a determination to cancel a game with the referee at the field, not ahead of time.
1) At the sound of thunder ALL games at that time are delayed. The safety rule is a mandatory 30min wait until the last clap of thunder is heard before resuming play. If there is a second game after the first game that is delayed, then the first game is canceled so that the next game starts on time and not be delayed.
2) If there is a torrential downpour that requires a stop in play, you may resume play, but not at the expense of delaying the next scheduled game. The games are running time, not stoppage play.
3) While there is no official policy related to heat, please make sure you rest all players adequately and they are sufficiently hydrated. If you don’t have enough subs, then play a smaller sided game and have both coaches agree to shorter quarters, if necessary.
4) It will be the decision of the board if the situation warrants a canceled game to be re-scheduled, not individual coaches. We have limited field availability and we must consult with our Director of Fields & Equipment, Referees, and partnering townships so we are not in conflict with other pre-scheduled events.
The Cortland County Youth Soccer Association (CCYSA) is run entirely by volunteers who want to see soccer programs offered to the youth of our communities to build not only soccer skills, but character, team work, respect, and other traits that will serve them well in life.
We are in need of volunteers like you! Many volunteers have soccer experience and play a great role in coaching, training and other on-field positions. Other volunteers don't have the soccer experience, but use their organizational, planning, communication or other skills to work off-field in administrative and supportive roles.
Please contact us today about how you can help! Rich Wagner, info@CCYSAsoccer.org.
